Editorial Process

Editorial Process

The Journal of Physiotherapy in Mental Health follows the guidelines on editorial independence developed by the World Association of Medical Editors

The journal holds an open call for authors interested in publishing and receives manuscripts until the deadline established by each call. After the maximum submission date, the journal reserves the right to receive manuscripts.

Manuscripts must be submitted in English or Spanish (depending on the author's language proficiency). When submitting the manuscript, the editors initially review its suitability; those manuscripts with insufficient originality, or serious scientific or methodological defects are rejected before proceeding to formal peer review. Manuscripts that may not be of interest to the journal's readers may also be rejected at this stage.

Manuscripts approved by the Editorial Committee and Editor-in-Chief will be sent for double-blind peer review. Comments and/or suggestions (acceptance/rejection/modification in the manuscript) made by the reviewers are transmitted to the corresponding author. The author is requested to respond point by point to the reviewers' comments and submit a modified version of the manuscript. This process is repeated until the reviewers and editors are satisfied with the manuscript.

Manuscripts accepted for publication must be professionally translated into the journal's other language (this process is the entire responsibility of the author).
