Policy and Advocacy Articles
Policy and Advocacy Articles address policy issues, advocacy efforts, and the role of physiotherapy in promoting mental health at systemic, institutional, or community levels.
These manuscripts may analyze health policies, discuss regulatory or legislative frameworks, propose policy recommendations, or examine the role of physiotherapy in advancing equitable access to mental health care.
Articles should present well-supported arguments grounded in scientific evidence, policy analysis, or professional experience, and may include recommendations for healthcare systems, professional organizations, or public health initiatives.
Manuscript Specifications
Word Limit
Up to 4,000 words, excluding abstract, references, tables, figures, and figure legends.
Abstract
Up to 250 words.
References
Up to 70 references.
Tables and Figures
Up to 6 tables and/or figures.
Summary Box
After the abstract, authors must include a Summary Box highlighting the key contribution of the article.
This section should address:
• What knowledge does this article add?
• Why is this important for policy, advocacy, or health systems?
The Summary Box must contain no more than five sentences and should not repeat information already included in the abstract.
